Donna Kernan studied Fashion Design at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle; she has over 25 years of industry experience. She has been a creative director and women's wear designer for several independent womenswear brands, managing design processes from concept to production. Donna has collaborated with international buying teams from the USA to Japan to create womenswear brands. An experienced fashion lecturer, she has taught at Central St Martins, Kingston, and Winchester before joining Westminster in 2017. Donna has expertise in curriculum development, teaching, and industry collaborations. Her passion for fashion design, embellishment, pattern cutting, draping, and sustainable practices is evident in her innovative approach to fashion education. She has curated several sustainability exhibitions, including "Denim as Art" and "Zero Waste," showcasing students' work at Westminster.
