Lauren Loftos

With over 20 years of industry experience, Lauren’s career spans work with both London and New York Fashion Week designers, fashion brands, and UK ethical manufacturers, which collectively enrich her teaching practice.

The role that naturally paved the way for Lauren’s transition into teaching was her position as Senior Creative Pattern Cutter under the BFC NEWGEN initiative at Topshop. This saw her contribute to London Fashion Week collaboration collections for designers such as J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Marques Almeida, David Koma, Ashish, and Meadham Kirchhoff, among others. Working with emerging brands navigating the fashion industry closely parallels guiding Westminster’s fashion graduates in completing their final collections.

Prior to taking on her permanent role at Westminster in XXX Lauren worked at UCA across both BA Fashion and BA Fashion Atelier, concentrating on advanced draping and tailoring.

Originally from Manchester, once the heart of the British textile Industry, Lauren is a dedicated advocate for UK manufacturing, sustainable fashion practices and ethical production.
