Industry-Facing Courses
The School’s courses are particularly well-known for their industry connections. Our fashion programmes, for example, combine creativity with commercial awareness, producing graduates who are innovative designers and business-savvy professionals. Similarly, our music business degrees develop students’ knowledge and understanding of local and global infrastructure and music ecosystems. Our music degrees nurture students’ creative and technical abilities in production, sound design, and media, while fostering critical thinking and professional agility.
Creative practice is central to our curriculum. Students engage in hands-on learning with tools like augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), projection mapping, 3D modelling, and game engines, preparing them for careers in digital arts, culture, media, and heritage. Our programmes are immersive, interdisciplinary, and responsive to global trends, ensuring that students graduate with both artistic vision and practical expertise.

Our International Strategy
As part of the University’s Global Engagement Strategy, the School of Arts will expand its international reach by building on existing Transnational Education (TNE) partnerships and launching new global initiatives prioritising entrepreneurship, sustainability, and cross-cultural competency in creative education.
Our strategy focuses on two key pillars:
First, strengthening TNE Partnerships and Course Offerings. We’re expanding our academic footprint by co-designing validated and franchise courses with partners in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan. These programmes integrate work-based learning and respond to local industry needs, supporting both student development and regional creative economies.
Second, expanding Global Engagement Initiatives. Our plans include launching distinctive summer schools and study abroad modules, and we are also introducing block delivery formats and virtual collaborations to offer flexible, intensive learning experiences.
Through collaborative, practice-based learning, staff exchanges, and research-led teaching, Westminster School of Arts is shaping globally minded graduates ready to make a meaningful impact in the creative industries. Our vision is bold, inclusive, and rooted in real-world innovation – preparing students across the globe not just for jobs, but for creative leadership on the world stage.
